It is an interesting and bizarre food to share with.
In a small bowl, add tamarind, immerse in 100ml water and stir for 3 minutes.
Then filter to remove seeds.
Add sugar and fish sauce, and then heat over medium heat until there is 2/3 remaining. (tamarind sauce)
In a saucepan, heat up some oil and add garlic and 1 teaspoon of butter.
When the butter is completely melted, add baluts and 2 tbsp. tamarind sauce.
Cook for 5 minutes and transfer to a small plate.
Sprinkle with ground peanuts. Serve with rau ram.
